Siddhartha Bank Kalaiya Branch's Free Eye Camp
Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) has been conducting various Corporate Social Responsibility activities at both corporate and regional levels.
On the occasion of May Day, SBL Kalaiya Branch in association with Community Development Program and Kalaiya Netralaya had organized an eye checkup camp at Shree Nepal Rastriya Primary School, Laxmipur, Kotwali. Nearly 500 residents from Kotwali, Kudawa, Devpur Tota, and Shree Nagar Biraya and nearby villages were benefitted from the Eye Checkup Camp. The Camp along with free eye checkup had also provided free medicines, 50% subsidy for interested patients on Cataract Surgery and discount on the eye glasses.
The eye camp was successfully conducted with the support of SBL Kalaiya, Adarsha Kotwal Gaunpalika and local residents.
Sponsorship for ‘Rising Player’ of ‘Mai Valley Gold Cup- 2073”
Siddhartha Bank Limited, Ilam Branch, had supported Mai Valley Foot Ball Club, Ilam for Mai Valley Gold Cup – 2073, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. The Bank had sponsored the title of the ‘Rising Player’ of the tournament which was awarded to Mr. Avinash Limbu, from Mai Valley Foot Ball Club, by Mr. Ganesh Kumar Guragain, Branch Manager of Ilam Branch of the Bank on April 8, 2017.
Siddhartha Bank extends financial support to Nepal Eye Hospital
Siddhartha Bank Limited has provided sponsorship worth Rs. 107,500 to Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureshwar, to conduct cataract surgeries of 43 economically marginalized patients as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. Mr. Rameshwar Prasad Bashyal, Deputy General Manager of the Bank handed over the sponsorship cheque to Mr. Bishwakanta Mainali, Chairman of the Hospital, amidst a formal program to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the Hospital.
Financial Assistance for CC camera installation
Siddhartha Bank, Simara Branch provided financial assistance worth Rs. 20,000 to ‘CC Installation and Management Committee of Area Police Office, Simara, Bara for installation of CCTV camera in the different sensitive locations near the vicinity of the branch so as to ensure security of the local citizens residing in these areas. The financial assistance was handed over by the Bank’s Branch Manager, Simara Branch – Mr. Krishna Prasad Gautam to Mr. Gobinda Karki, Inspector, Area Police Office, Simara.
Banner Sponsorship for Pokhara University’s workshop on “Research Methodology and Scientific Proposal Development”
Siddhartha Bank, Chipledhunga branch provided financial support worth Rs. 100,000 to Pokhara University’s two days workshop on “Research Methodology and Scientific Proposal Development” that was conducted at the University’s premise on March 31 to April 1, 2017. The workshop aimed to develop proposal writing skills of the participants and was attended by different scholars from
different faculty of affiliated colleges of Pokhara University. The sponsorship amount was handed over by Mr. Pradip Shrestha, Branch Manager - Chipledhunga Branch to Prof. Dr. Indra P. Tiwari, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science (FHSS), and Gulam Mahomad Khan, Associate Professor and Executive Director of Pokhara University Research Center (PURC).
19th Buda Subba Gold Cup Sponsorship for ‘Best Striker’ by Siddhartha Bank
Siddhartha Bank Limited as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility had supported 19th Buda Subba Gold Cup organized by Dharan Football Club at ANFA Ground, Dharan. The Bank had sponsored the title of the Best Striker which was awarded to Mr. Jumanu Rai, from the winning team - Nepal Police Club, by Mr. Roshan Parajuli, Branch Manager of Dharan Branch of the Bank on February 25, 2017.
Financial Assistance for installation of CCTV
Siddhartha Bank, Birgunj Branch has contributed Rs.50,000 to Safer Birgunj - a social organization of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BICCI) for the installation of CCTV in prime locations of Birgunj for enhancing security for the citizens and municipal public facilities in the city. The financial assistance was handed over to Mr. Om Prakash Sharma, President of BICCI on January 19, 2017, by Mr. Upendra Prasad Gadtaula, Branch Manager of Birgunj Branch of the Bank.
Siddhartha Bank Extends Financial Support to Nepal Eye Hospital
Siddhartha Bank Limited has provided sponsorship to Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureshwar, to conduct cataract surgeries of 15 economically marginalized patients from different locations of Kathmandu Valley, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative on January 5, 2017. Financial Assistance to World Peace Pagoda
Siddhartha Bank, Chipledhunga branch provided financial assistance worth Rs. 50,000 to “World Peace Pagoda” (Shanti Stupa) PumdiBhumdi, Pokhara on November 5, 2016 on the occasion of 17th BarsikUtsav Puja ThathaSamman of the Stupa. The ceremony was conducted with Honorable Minister for Industry and Commerce - Mr. Nabindra Raj Joshi as the Chief Guest of the Ceremony was and distinguished guest from the vicinity had participated in the ceremony. The donation amount was handed over in the formal ceremony entitled by Mr. Pardip Shrestha, Branch Manager- Chipledhunga Branch. The financial assistance was handed over toMr. Prakash Man Gubhaju, Chairman of the formal committee formed for the conservation of Stupa.
Financial Support to Shree Ratna Pustakalaya:
Siddhartha Bank, Old Baneshwar branch had provided financial support amounting Rs. 5,000 to Shree Ratna Pustakalaya, Baneshwor, Kathmandu on October 28, 2016 on the occasion of 54th anniversary of the Pustakalaya and 108th Janma Jayanti of Mahakabi Laxmi Prasad Devkota. The financial support was offered as a part of the CSR initiative of the Bank.
Banner Sponsorship for 12th Bikash Running Shield Football Knockout:
Siddhartha Bank Narayangarh branch had supported 12th Bikash Running Shield Football Knockout Competition by providing banner sponsorship worth Rs. 10,000 for the Competition. The Competition was organized from October 17- 30, 2016 at Campus Chaur, Narayangarh and various A Division clubs, local clubs and few foreign teams had participated in the competition.
Financial Awareness Class at New Capital College:
Siddhartha Bank, Tandi Branch had conducted a Financial Awareness Class at New Capital College, Tandi on October 3, 2016. The facilitators of the Class were Mr. Abhishek Thapa, Branch Manager, Tandi Branch and Mr. Manmohan Shah, Operation In charge, Tandi Branch. Discussions regarding overview of banking in Nepal and overview of Siddhartha Bank Limited and its Products & Services were done during the Class. A total of 25 students of BBA level of the College had attended the Class.
Financial Assistance to Shree Prabhat Secondary School
Siddhartha Bank Limited provided financial assistance of Rs. 100,000 to Shree Prabhat Secondary School of Palung Mainadi -3, Palpa on September 21, 2016, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The assistance was offered for arranging necessary educational materials for the upcoming Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) Course in Agriculture, to be offered by the School in the near future. Sher Bahadur Budhathoki – Deputy General Manager of the Bank, handed over the cheque to Dul Bahadur Kunwar – Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the School, at the Bank’s Head Office, Hattisar.

Siddhartha Bank, Dailekh Branch provided financial assistance amounting Rs. 15,000 to ‘CC Camera Jadan Samitee’, District Police Office (DPO) Dailekh on September 15, 2016 for installation of CCTV camera in the different sensitive locations near the vicinity of the branch so as to ensure security of the local citizens residing in these areas.
Participation in Indrajatra
Siddhartha Bank, New Road Branch has participated in the Indra Jatra festival on September 15, 2016 in cooperation with Ganga Club, Kathmandu. Ganga Club is one of the oldest clubs of Kathmandu with around 100 members. The Bank has been participating in Indra Jatra celebrations in cooperation with Ganga Club, for the last three years with a view to further enhance the Bank’s relationship with the local community and to enhance the brand visibility of the Bank amidst the local communities as well as visitors participating in the Indra Jatra.
The Bank had placed flex banners with social messages like “Sanskritik Dharohar Haru Ko Jagerna Garaun” , at different prominent locations of Basantapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu so as to raise awareness, among the visitors of the event, towards the conservation of the cultural heritages. The Bank had also distributed around 80 tshirts to the member and volunteers of the Ganga Club who had actively participated during Indra Jatra and had offered sponsorship worth Rs. 40,000 to the Club for preparation of Samay Bazi- an authentic, traditional dish of the Newar community prepared during the major festivities celebrated by the community.
Participation in Radha Krishna Rath Yatra Mahotsab 2073
Siddhartha Bank Biratnagar Branch had sponsored Rs.10,000 to display the Bank’s play board in the Radha Krishna Rath Yatra Mahotsab 2074 on August 26, 2016The Rath Yatra was observed by thousands of people and most of the organizations and institutions, corporate house had sponsored the event. The Rath Yatra was live telecasted by different local TV channels and FM stations.
Participation in Trade Fair – Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown
Siddhartha Bank Biratnagar Branch had offered banner sponsorship worth Rs. 3,000 for organized “Shrawan Mela” (Fund Raiser) organized by the Rotary Club of Biratnagar downtown in Shiv Kunj of Atithi Sadan on August 5th and 6th, 2016. The Mela was organized to support two main signature projects of the Club – “Cerebral Palsy Day Care Center” and “Each one Teach one” – A literacy Project. Almost 1,000 people had visited the Mela. Being a fund raiser program, the main attraction of the Mela was the Trade Fair focusing on Women Entrepreneurship, Inter school Play Competition, Fashion Show, Food Stalls, Games and so on.
Placement of Dustbin Set at Swoyambhu Nath Stupa
Siddhartha Bank, Swoyambhu Branch had placed a set of Dustbin with stand worth Rs. 12,000 at the Swoyambhu Nath Stupa during the month of July 2016. Swoyambhu Nath is a popular cultural heritage of Kathmandu with daily footfall of hundreds of visitors and is located at a distance of one kilometer from the Bank’s Swoyambhu branch. It is also one of the sought major destinations for carrying out morning workouts and jogging for the locals in and around the vicinity.
The dustbin set was placed at the Stupa in coordination with Federation of Swoyambhu Management and Conservation (FSMC), is the committee looking after the preservation and maintenance of Swoyambhu and its premises.
